Wow what a week. Like so many I was just so shocked about the horrific events of the earthquake in Christchurch. As I get together with friends, we ponder about the world. So many things are happening in the world at the moment and it is hard to focus on any particular event. With our own floods in Queensland and Victoria to the earthquake in Christchurch to the instability in Egypt, Libya and Morocco. We ask what could possibly come next? Fingers crossed all settles down within the earth and World Peace prevails. Is that too much to ask?
New Zealand is such a beautiful country and Christchurch is just as beautiful a city. As neighbours I feel strongly about helping out in some way in their time of need. So as these two capes are the only two left from last season I am putting them on sale and donating 20% of the proceeds to the New Zealand Earthquake appeal.
Sale Price $250. This cape has two layers of frills, one satina nd one silk with a layer of baby pink ostrich feathers and sequined tulle. It is lined in satin and has a velvet ribbon.
Sale price $300. This cape starts with a french beaded trim, a layer of small guinea feathers, black then white rooster feathers, silk frill under black spotted tulle and lined with a floral pattern silk, black velvet ribbon and orange flower brooch.
