Bangalow Part II

The rain, cold and mistiness of Bangalow enhanced the experience of the town in the mountains amongst the trees and the rolling hills. There was only a slight sprinkle of rain and certainly not enough to stop us.

Next on the street was the Antique and Collectables Boutique. It was filled with lots of vintage and amazing collectable items such as stuffed white owls, deer heads, one off art works, amazing modern and vintage chandeliers and the list goes on. Definately worth a visit.

Lazybones was next on the street. They also have a shop on Oxford St, Paddington in Sydney. The 3 women creators of Lazybones live in Bangalow and the surrounding area.

And last on this side of the street is "Island Luxe".  We almost didn't go into this boutique which would have been disastrous as it is a must to go into. They also have a boutique in Byron Bay.

They have clothing, accesessories, furniture and home decor. The items in the store are very well sourced. They are unique, different to what you see elsewhere and inexpensive. The neck pieces below are from Irian Jaya. They can be worn if you really wanted to but they are meant to be pieces for display. They are amazing pieces at that and you would really only want to display them.

These rugs are hand woven leather rugs.

And it just all got too much for the little Miss. The lovely shop assistants wrapped her up in a $900 hand woven blanket and tucked her into the leather chair. (Did I mention how warma and welcoming the staff were?)

Next on our journey was lunch. Soup and crusty bread from Pantry 29.

A little more browsing in bookstores and gift shops and a very cold day left us exhausted. With one last coffee and cake at Ate, we decided to head home before the rain set in.

I certainly won't be leaving it so long in between visits. Well worth the road trip.
