Toning it down

Ok well I think our internet issues are fixed. It's only taken 2 weeks! So lately I have been very busy making new pieces for Melbourne Cup and Xmas gifts. There has been lots of colour everywhere so I have decided to tone it down a little. I have been mixing my fluoro jewels with the more subdued pearls and clear and silver crystals with a spot of dalmation jasper.

The Terminator 2011

I have been so busy lately I haven't had a chance to put much thought or time into my fascinator for Melbourne Cup Lunch today. So I was up last night deciding what to wear first and then putting this together with whatever I had lying around. I don't know if you recall I termed it 'The Terminator" last year after my husband believing that is what it was called. Good Luck Everyone!

What a fantastic day! There was lots of champagne, laughter, tiltilating conversation, getting to know people and lots of feathers!

I was a bit of a gumbie picking out names from the sweepstakes. I was taking too long and was made to hurry up. Luckily I had my trusty horse friends, Di (PR Manager) and Kathy to guide the way! I believe the encouraging words were "Hurry up you're taking to long. Just buy 3 of the $10 tickets in the sweepstakes" There wasn't much to pick from when I got there. Lucky Me!

These are the girls watching the race. It was all a bit confusing at first as they didn't have the names of the horses on the screen as they were racing. So by the end of the race we had no idea which horse had won.

After the race, ready to eat our delicious ricotta cheese cake and vanilla bean ice-cream dessert!

Busy Tuesday - Melbourne Cup

Very busy today!

I'm starting my day with a small presentation for my daughter's prep class on "My Work/Job". My little Miss is very excited to have me up there. I hadn't even thought about doing it but she asked me. How could I say no? So she does pay attention when I tell her Mummy is working.

Then I have capes and collars to deliver for clients, SoniaM promotional duties, fashion parades and then I think I will relax and have a glass of champagne before I run off and do pick up duties and prepare for this Saturday.

I'm wearing the above cape today to Melbourne Cup. Have fun, enjoy and may the best horse WIN!

Another Crazy Week

I'm getting right into these very cute girls necklaces, which of course can double over into big girls necklaces. Anyway in between doing these I have had to finish the lilac feather cape (will post photos soon), pick up 3 others that were on display at the offices of Art Queensland (which they said they have never had so many people comment on a display before) pack these up and send down to Designer Emporium on the Gold Coast. They asked if they could use them in two of their fashion parades. One on Sunday and then of course on Tuesday for Melbourne Cup Day. I just have to back the winning horse now!
