Today I wore the brown feather collar I posted yesterday. I received many comments and questions about it. One comment was how clever I am to put it all together. So I have to set the record straight here. I can't sew. I would love to be able to sew. I have tried many times and the concept escapes me.
The other main question was how do I come up with the ideas. My answer is always the same. I don't know. I do know that I am a very visual person, and even if the materials are not in front of me, I can see things coming together in my mind and it is very real. I have always loved contrasts and love to put unexpected materials and colours together. I take a little of this and a little of that and mix together.
Below are a couple of photos of the materials I am putting together for some collars I am having made up. I will post the photos as soon as I collect them from my very talented seamstress.
