Lots of Fun
How quirky are these? I love them. Emily Bullock from NSW.
These very cute animal cutout leather purses are from SCOTATTO
How cute are these rings? Rebecca Roth from TASMANIA
How gorgeous are these bottles? They are by Edols Elliot an artist from NSW
Had the photo shoot yesterday at Craft Queensland in The Valley and of course it was lots of fun. The photographer for the mx newspaper was Steve and he was just great to work with. Being a photographer is an artistic career so he is quite creative. Now I did warn him that anything he tells me could end up on my blog. So anyway he was telling me how he loves feathers and tends to collect them. He does a lot of mountain bike riding so the feathers he collects are the loose ones you find on the ground in the bush from native birds. He says he picks them up and puts them on the back of his hat and away he goes. He also told me he collects vintage ties from the 70's but only the ones with a paisley print on them. (I love paisley especially purple paisley) So as you can imagine we had a lot in common and it was lots of fun.
The photos below and above are from the many artists at (M)ART at Craft Queensland. You should go check it out as it has some fantastic things which are great for gifts and no doubt you will walk out with something for yourself. Pretty much every item is unique and individual and handcrafted by the artisan.
At the moment they have an exhibition "industrial desire" detroit concept cars. It is a partnership with the College of Creatve Studies, Detroit showcasing scale models of fantastic concept vehicles. I am taking my little man to see them as they are pretty amazing.
