Twice in a Day

It's not often I get very excited about jewellery. The whole reason I started making jewellery and accessories is because I never really saw anything I absolutely loved and was versatile enough to mix up with other pieces. So here my sister and I are at the Vintage Fair in Leichhardt Sydney and there in a dark corner is a lady selling these amazing vintage necklaces, earrings and bracelets. We spent the whole time there as we couldn't decide on which ones we had to buy and which ones we would leave behind.(Just until next time) The markets are moving to Paddington in September so if I am not back down by then my sister knows to go and search for the lady.(In all the excitement we didn't get her name)

I decided on the two in the photos above. As you can see in the photos below I have put them back with some of my pieces that I have made. I chose these two pieces to wear during the day with jeans or simple dresses, as this is my life. (School and kindy drop offs and pick ups) All the dresses and outfits I have bought for the glamourous life I live in my head, just have to wait for a bit. Anyone else like that?

So then my sister and I walked to the movies on the Saturday night and walked past the "Shag Vintage Store " on Oxford St, Paddington, which just happened to be open and I now believe it was just to torture me. We were running early for the movie and then late. (We had to sit up the front)

The reason we went in was the gorgeous big purple jewelled choker necklace on the mannequin in the front window. The necklace was very similiar to the necklaces we bought at the vintage fair.

The store was full of vintage clothing, bags, small pieces of furniture and of course jewellery. I was like a small child in a candy shop. I couldn't walk out I just kept seeing so many things that kept catching my eye from every corner. I tried on so many jewels it all got too confusing. It will be my first port of call when in Sydney next.
