White Moment

I am having a white moment. I finally had some time to read the blogs on my blog scroll and visited every single one on the weekend. As I was looking at The Sartorialist blog site, I came across the photo below.

And then I started watching some shows I had taped, namely The Rachel Zoe Project. And she was obsessing over white, white, white, that Cameron Diaz needed a white gown for the Oscars becuase it's her favourite colour blah, blah, blah.

And then of course opted for this Marchesa dress instead. Not sure if she gets it or if it goes to another stylist. Will have to watch this weeks show.  Anyway then I started watching the Valentino movie "The Last Emperor", which is actually a really good movie and quite funny.  But what really caught my eye were his muses, Countess of Bulgaria and Princess of somewhere etc.. And they were just lounging round above his Atelier as he surveyed the house model wearing some divine creation in white. His muses were wearing white long knitted vests and white fur and feather gilets, with white/cream dresses or plain pants, hair simply pulled back or just casually out, not a I've just been to the hairdresser look. They looked just simply divine. I am convinced it was the white. So I am into white.
