I was surfing the web, as you do and came across this photo for the Grazia Magazine. I loved it because of the colours and of course the feather collar that she is wearing is almost identical in colour to the capelet I made not long ago. (see photo on right hand side of page) Then I read the article and thought I would share a small portion of it with you.
Evelyn Lauder from Estee Lauder Cosmetics, died on Saturday November 12 in New York from complications of non-genetic ovarian cancer.
Evelyn married into the Lauder family in 1959 and helped build the cosmetic giant into the business it is today.
She played a pivotal role in founding the pink ribbon campaign for breast cancer awareness and designating October as “Breast Cancer Awareness Month”. The Estée Lauder brand with Evelyn as the driving force, was behind the cancer campaign.
