A Great Leg

I have been very busy of late rearranging the household furniture. I really should be making jewellery or something but there has been a great space in our house that urgently needed filling. For some time I had wanted a round wooden pedestal dining table with modern chairs that would fit in with the rest of the house. At the time, I was also toying with the idea of painting the table black or green like I had seen in the UK Elle Decoration. (which I love! Great magazine)

It all started when I gave away our dining table and chairs quite a few months back on the premise that the Supa Lifeline I visit had a large, round, wooden, pedestal table for me. I had put my name down months prior and visited frequently so they knew to call me when one such table came in.

When I went to purchase the table, there it was in all it's glory, exactly what I was looking for. I ran to it as if we were being reunited. And then I saw it. A big red SOLD sticker on it!!  AND I WASN'T THE BUYER!  To say I was upset was an understatement.  After many months of searching the same Supa Lifeline and eBay, I finally resorted to Gumtree. And there it was patiently waiting for me.

As you can see, it is a lighter colour and I just love it! It was always about the leg for me. She had to have a beautiful pedestal leg!! And she does! What do you think?

The replica Charles Eames steel legs dining chairs are from Replica Furniture in Doggett St, Newstead. I wanted the steel legs to compliment  and not compete with the large wooden leg of the table.

The table cost me $150 + $40 delivery. Yes you heard me.

And I bought the chairs on a special at $59@. $354 in total.

All up the table and chairs with delivery cost me the grand total of $544.

Once I had the table and chairs then everything else just fell into place. The plate to the left holding the keys and the plate underneath the lotus candle holder I bought at Target!
