I have had to say good-bye to another cape. I just recently sold the one above. I had the ribbon changed over to a deeper pink, more ruby coloured to suit the customer. I cannot buy the feather trim underneath the black bead trim anymore, so this one truly is a one off.
I don't mind when customers like to change the ribbon or ask for a frill as opposed to the beaded trim or vice versa. Creating these type of pieces is a very personal experience and for the customer to have contributed to the process just adds to the connection to the piece they purchase.
