Spring Cleaning
Well the August Westerly Winds have bought the urge to Spring Clean my Studio. This has been a long time coming. My inspiration board is very uninspiring at the moment. I have pinned so many things on it I can't tell what's on there. It has turned into a board to hang the kids artwork on.
In my clean I also found numerous folders that I have put lots of magazine cuttings in over the years for my inspiration board. Most I still find relevant, others not.
Whilst cleaning I found a few things like the original numbers on our house. We took them off when we renovated and I kept them for nostalgia. I think I will paint them pink and put them in the house on display somewhere.
This is a photo of the house the original owners children gave us.
So all this cleaning made me think that I wanted an old ornate picture frame to put my inspiration objects and clippings into. I want to then take photos and upload them to my inspiration page on this blog. (Coming soon. Be on the look out)
So I headed to my nearest Life Line store thinking I won't find anything because that's how it works and I will probably walk away with either the opposite or nothing.
But lo and behold I found not one but TWO old ornate picture frames I think will be perfect for what I had in mind. I will paint them and see how I go.
I bought these for $6 each!
Then I saw this lid from an old ice-cream tin container which I really liked. I want to do something with it just don't know what yet.
And finally I bought 4 teletubbie key ring holders at the front counter of the store to keep my son happy whilst I fossicked around.
I think a trip to Porter's Paints at New Farm is in order!
Happy Weekend!
