Treasure Hunt Tuesday

Well my "Relax and Take it Easy Day" didn't quite turn out like that. I forgot to mention yesterday that after I drank tea for my sore throat and sewed the trimmings onto my feather capes, that I had to hot foot it to The Valley.

So there I met with Lotus, who is just gorgeous and has her own label with her twin sister Willow, called Red Phoenix Emporium. They are launching their Spring/Summer Collection 2010 this Thursday night at The Tribune. Yes the very same launch that Faux Fuchsia has been blogging about as the guest designer and will launch her "Leo" necklace.

So Lotus kindly invites me to the launch, which I accept, and proceeds to show me her gorgeous pieces on display. Then she gives me a sneek peak of the new Spring/Summer Collection 2010. Which I am now showing you.

Necklaces

Talent runs in the family, her Mother knits these. How cute?


And that's not all! So whilst there, I have some SoniaM feather capes, collars and necklace bibs lying around looking fabulous and a customer walks in and has a look around. The customer then looks at my capes and says "OMG are these SoniaM capes?" Lotus quickly responds with "Yes and this is SoniaM". So I turn around and smile and say hello not realising that she actually recognised my work and not just read the label!

Now I didn't realise this until the customer left. (Who by the way was wearing a beautiful YSL pink agate necklace style choker) I know I should have taken a photo as I had my camera, but I was too busy snapping all the other things in the store that I wanted to buy and take home with me.

Also whilst there I met the Very Talented Brisbane based illustrator artist, Courtney Brims. To be continued tomorrow....
