This is one of the necklaces with the beautiful jade I picked up last week. Am working on the other ones in between making stock for my SoniaM Xmas Shopping Days this Friday and Saturday.

In My Frame - Necklaces in the Making

I've been doing a bit of fiddling.

I want to attach this flower piece to this necklace.

And this one to either the black or the metallic below.

I know black goes with everything and so does the metallic and is a nice change to black.
And still fiddling with this.

Busy, Busy, Busy!

More Market Jewels

I love the fuschia crystal bead and carnelian colour combination.
These are pearl and faceted crystal bracelets. They look great with multiples.
Well you all know what I'm doing this weekend. Thanks to everyone for stopping by. Have a great weekend.

Wow! What a Weekend

Hope everyone has enjoyed their weekend. As you can see I was very busy making things. To give me some uninterrupted work time, Hubby and Children went to movies to see "Despicable Me" and loved it. I did want to watch it but will just have to wait for DVD.

Replaced the two I sold.
Finally got some earrings made. Not a lot but some none the less.
Little Girls bracelets. I will group them into three's with ribbon tied around.
Adult bracelets.

Another Crazy Week

I'm getting right into these very cute girls necklaces, which of course can double over into big girls necklaces. Anyway in between doing these I have had to finish the lilac feather cape (will post photos soon), pick up 3 others that were on display at the offices of Art Queensland (which they said they have never had so many people comment on a display before) pack these up and send down to Designer Emporium on the Gold Coast. They asked if they could use them in two of their fashion parades. One on Sunday and then of course on Tuesday for Melbourne Cup Day. I just have to back the winning horse now!

More girls necklaces

I'm loving these necklaces. They fit adult size too!

"Highs and Lows"

I have had to say good-bye to a few capes and capelets over the last couple of weeks.

This bottom one has been on layby until recently when it was picked up. But I kinda got used to it being around.

I know they are going to great homes to people who absolutely love them and will cherish them. It's funny but it really does become quite personal and you get to know the people who buy your pieces. They tell you why they want them, what it's for, why they chose that one in particular, colours, frills etc.. And then there is the follow up feedback of the event they wore it to etc...

Being creative is a journey and a very personal journey.  A lot of my pieces are one offs and I feel very attached to them. A lot of the times I don't want to let them go. However it is such a thrill that people want to actually buy them and you are just ecstatic.

It's not always like that and you have to keep reminding yourself not to take the knockbacks to heart, as hard as it is.

My very understanding husband calls it the "Highs and Lows".

Paris here I come!

Ok maybe just my cape, I mean Rebecca's cape is off to Paris.

Rebecca, the owner of this black feathered cape picked it up today.

Rebecca is wearing it on New Year's Eve in PARIS to Restaurant Maison Blanche (The White Room). Have a look at the link above. It looks amazing. Not only that but her sister in law who is French, knows the owners and they have reserved the best table in the restaurant for them! At this stage I have nothing better else to do than to channel her on New Year's Eve.

Situated above the Théâtre des Champs Elysées, on the prestigious avenue Montaigne in the 8th district, the Maison Blanche restaurant offers a fabulous view over the west area of Paris.

Weekend Work

This is what is on my desk at the moment. I am busy making brooches for necklaces for the market day.
As I was taking this photo, I thought why can't I use that button in the bottom right hand corner as the centrepiece for a brooch? So I just have to have a fiddle this weekend.

Thanks to all those who stopped by this week. Have a great weekend.
