Am thinking this with the torquoise brooch.

Inspiration

I bought these brooches and a few rings which I will convert to brooches on my holidays. When I was showing my husband he said to me that I'm always thinking SoniaM stuff. I looked at him pretty astonished and said that it's not a switch I can turn on or off. Inspiration comes at anytime, anywhere and can be completely unrelated to what you are doing at the time. I may not use these brooches for a while or I might use them in my new range. We'll see.

Weekend Work

This is what is on my desk at the moment. I am busy making brooches for necklaces for the market day.

As I was taking this photo, I thought why can't I use that button in the bottom right hand corner as the centrepiece for a brooch? So I just have to have a fiddle this weekend.

Playing Around with Brooches

Now that my studio is sorted I'm happy to sit at my desk and play around with some things. I'm currently working on the felt brooches. I have a little play around, leave it for a while, come back to it,play around, until I feel I am completely happy with them and then finish them off. I'm still in the playing around stage.(my sister won't be happy!)
