This bottom one has been on layby until recently when it was picked up. But I kinda got used to it being around.
I know they are going to great homes to people who absolutely love them and will cherish them. It's funny but it really does become quite personal and you get to know the people who buy your pieces. They tell you why they want them, what it's for, why they chose that one in particular, colours, frills etc.. And then there is the follow up feedback of the event they wore it to etc...
Being creative is a journey and a very personal journey. A lot of my pieces are one offs and I feel very attached to them. A lot of the times I don't want to let them go. However it is such a thrill that people want to actually buy them and you are just ecstatic.
It's not always like that and you have to keep reminding yourself not to take the knockbacks to heart, as hard as it is.
My very understanding husband calls it the "Highs and Lows".
