The Small Pineapple

Well there was a blackout today in the area and therefore the Post Office I normally go to was closed. I go to this Post Office because it is in The Village, close to Woolworths and just plain convenient. I love my local Post Office. I know the staff, they are friendly and helpful. It is always busy though and waiting in line to by a 60 cent stamp can tip you over the edge sometimes. Anyway, desperate to get to a Post Office, I was forced to go to another one still close by but in the opposite direction to my normal travels.

So upon entering I was pleasantly surprised because there was no line up at midday! I know! I went straight to the counter, picking up this little hand blown glass pineapple (the Chinese man behind the counter told me)from China on the way. Whether it is or not didn't matter, I just thought it was too cute, especially for $1.95! I know! And besides, every Queenslander should have a pineapple of some sought on display in honour of the Big Pineapple in Nambour, which sadly is no more.

And if you read the link from the post below you would know that Li Edelkoort did say yellow would become the "icon colour of our age"!
