Weekend Project - Pink Capelet

This weekend I am hoping to re-energise this pink feathered capelet. I was never totally in love with it. It just didn't have that wow factor.

I am wanting to remove the existing frills and placing them lower with another cream spotted tulle frill, add the beaded trim to it and make a large cream satin flower to go with it. Hopefully something like below.
