Inspiration in Unlikely places

The above is a quote by Illustrator Beci Orpin in an interview in the Inside Out Magazine Sept/Oct 2010 issue.

I would like to add to this and say we need to keep our eyes AND minds open.

Inspiration tends to come from unlikely sources at unexpected times. I truly believe your mind has to be open to interpretation of what your eyes see and the thoughts that stem from that.

I am not Alone

Well it looks like I am not alone in my love of Yellow and Torquoise. In the current edition of Inside Out magazine Sept/Oct 2010, they have a feature called "Getting Personal". It is about showing off your "....own comfortable style.." rather than following others. And you guessed it the colours they used are Yellow and a shade of Torquoise. Check it out p 147.
