Monday Blues

Happy Monday Everyone. I am currently having a blue moment.  I bought this to add to my collection. I just loved the shade of blue.

And then I was flipping through some old magazines having a clean out and came across this photo.  I really like the shades of blue, almost purple colours in this photo. Am especially liking the subtle blush colours aswell that are mixed in. So now am crazily looking for feathers that are remotely similiar in colours and texture.

New Feathers

Well these are really feathers I have already worked with before. However they have been sold out for such a long time that I thought they wouldn't be available again. Yet here they are!

New Feather Capes

I picked up the two feather capes I had made last week. On Tuesday, I sewed the trimmings on and finished making the flowers.

Tell me what you think? One of my sisters loves them and one doesn't like them or the flowers at all. They are both completely different in style. I must sit in between?

Relax and Take it Easy Day

Have caught a virus and feeling very tired and sorry for myself. This doesn't happen often so I am just going to relax.

I will finish sewing the trimmings on my feather capes that I had made last week(will post finished photos this week). I will also make some silk flowers for the capes.

Hope everyone had a great weekend. Mine was filled with birthday parties and of course SoniaM.

I always refer to my work as this, so much so that my daughter now asks me if she can do some "SoniaM". She also introduces me as "This is my mummy SoniaM"

I fiddled with the fabrics I am wanting to make some capes in. After driving myself insane I "think" I have made a decision. I need to take them to my seamstress today if I am to have them by early next week.
