My week that was

Well I hope everyone enjoyed their week. Queensland School holidays start today. Since My husband is pretty much bed ridden we are staying put with a few days on the Gold Coast. Have had a busy week as usual but once again My husband thinks I've got the life. I get dressed up, I go get a coffee with friends (sometimes I tell him!), I go do some shopping (all necessities I say!) and then come home and fiddle around with some SoniaM Designs. He mentioned that Sylvester and I have the best life in the family.

On that note, enjoy your weekend and holidays. If going away keep safe.

Friday's outfit (Free People jeans, KAIN label stripe top, Witchery cream cropped jacket, Witchery tan leather belt, Chloe Marcie Bag, SoniaM Designs bracelets and Coles Express Gold sequin shoes)

Lanvin notebooks from the Matches Fashion sale. They have free shipping at them moment if interested or need more encouragement!

Can't seem to get enough of these English Dusted Jelly Babies. Target used to sell them but no more and found these by chance in Aldi. Don't know if good or bad thing as I can't seem to stop eating them!

Found this on side of road whilst visiting a friend. I may use it for the Brisbane French Festival.

And Sylvester this morning after sleeping all night in the warm confines of a bed and then briefly venturing outside then inside for breakfast than outside to start his day on the cane chair.

Thanks for stopping by.

Cheers SoniaM

Brisbane French Festival Media Photo Shoot

So I had the lovely Noelia and Julie from Brisbane French Festival come over to take photos of me in my Atelier. (that's the fancy word for workshop). Noelia Aamon is the official photographer for the French Festival and will also be displaying her works in the pavillion allocated for the 10 Artisans.

These are some of the photos I took of my 'Atelier' for the photoshoot. Of course Noelia rearranged a few things. I can't wait to see some of the photos as it was taken at 5 O'Clock in the afternoon so I think they will be quite interesting.

Brisbane French Festival

Something very exciting happened a couple of weeks ago. I have been asked to exhibit at the Brisbane French Festival on Saturday July 14th at Southbank, Brisbane. The organiser in charge of the Arts and Artisans department of the festival, loved my feather capes despite me not being French. (To exhibit requires you to be French or French inspired or skilled in some way).  She thought the capes and capelets were very French Couture like and thought I should have a presence at the festival. I am very excited. They are sponsoring us to exhibit and promoting us to the public through media. It is a free event for all to attend. Last year they had
50 000 people walk through the gates! I have much to do in organising how I want to exhibit and my detailing my French influences. Will let you know more as it gets closer. Vive La France!
