Parcels in the Post

I love surprises in the post.

Especially when you have ordered something and forgotten about it and then it arrives.

I will refresh your memory.

Remember when I said I was looking through the April edition of the US In Style and came across the JC Penny ad?

And I said I saw a dress with the blue crochet bib and thought "Wouldn't it be great if that could be a necklace?"

And so I googled suppliers and ordered from overseas.

And then they arrived today!

How gorgeous are they?

I was very exicited to say the least.

Inspiration in a JC Penny Advertisment

I was recently flipping through pages of the APRIL edition of the US In Style magazine and came across an add for JC Penny. The torquoise coloured crochet bib on the front of the dress caught my eye. This, with the Michael Stars singlet I recently bought, got me thinking about making necklaces out of the bibs.

So when my friend came round for coffee yesterday and we were talking about crafty things it got me thinking about my necklace idea. She mentioned that she was looking for the small round crochet circles to do the gorgeous singlets and maybe some hairclips and hairbands for a little girls range. She said she had sourced her crochet bits on ebay. I had a look but no good for me.

So when she left I researched all my suppliers, local, nationally and internationally, to see if they had anything. They did not. However I did manage to find a supplier. I have placed an order so will hopefully receive in the next week or two and will have a fiddle. Will let you know.
Above is the back of the Michael Stars singlet I recently bought.
